Where is Balsamic Vinegar of Modena produced?
Balsamic vinegar of Modena is produced exclusively in a well defined geographical area in Northern Italy. This zone corresponds to the province of Modena in the territory which includes two tributaries of the Po River; the Panaro and Secchia Rivers. It is here that since Medieval Times, Balsamic Vinegar of Modena finds ideal climatic conditions for its maturation which gives this product its special characteristics. Balsamic Vinegar of Modena was asked to be recognized by the European Union as an I.G.P. (Indicazione Geografica Protetta – Protected Geographical Location).
