Where Is Annecy?
Annecy is a small city located on the shores of Lake Annecy, 22 miles from Geneva. It belongs to the Rhone-Alpes region of east central France. It has been successfully developed as a business hub owing to its strategic location between Switzerland, Italy and France. t is known for hosting two famous film festivals: The Annecy International Animated Film Festival, or “Festival du film d’animation” hosted in June and The Annecy Italian Film Festival or “Festival du film italien d’Annecy” hosted in October. Rich in its cultural heritage, Annecy is also known for its monuments. It includes the “old prison” or the Palais de l’Isle which is the most photographed site in all of France. Other monuments are the Chateau d’Annecy, The Cathedral of Saint-Pierre, The European Gardens and many more.
