Northern California is quite large, so I am not sure where you are thinking about. I live in Northern California (the bay area) and I had my wedding at the Crow Canyon Country Club…it’s beautiful there…and if you are thinking about keeping the wedding small they have a lovely room for smaller parties (not the ballroom so the food and beverage minimum goes waaaayyy down). http://www.crow-canyon.com/0_common_file… Also, you may want to check out herecomestheguide.com It has a lot of useful information…however, if you get married in the Bay Area let me know because I really shopped around and got the best deals…so, I can give you the names of fabulous vendors.
