My kids are staying at the Sleep Inn in KC right now. http://www.choicehotels.com/ires/html/SleepHome It’s nothing fancy, just a nice little hotel close to the airport, $69/night, free airport shuttle, free high-speed Internet, free breakfast (biscuits & gravy, waffles). There are a lot of restaurants in walking distance. I found it by going to http://www.visitkc.com/where_to_stay/book_hotel.cfm I typed in the dates and for area/region I clicked on “Kansas City International Airport”. I got a list of hotels and called the one we liked the best.
