Where in the worlds atmosphere is the most and least water vapor located?
Because warm air has a greater capacity for water vapor, warm places tend to have the most water vapor and cold places the least. Exceptions are in major desert regions, where the surface air is very dry, despite its high temperatures. The most water vapor can be found in the atmosphere above the equatorial Pacific Ocean, where ocean temperatures are the warmest.
