TB is found throughout the world. Parts of the world known to have high rates of TB include sub-Saharan Africa (all the countries south of the Sahara desert) and Asia. For more information, see the WHO website. If you are planning to visit a high-risk country and work or live with local people for more than a month, the BCG vaccination is usually recommended.
