Where in the uk can I find a good course to become a citizenship teacher?
I agree with the poster above me. However for citizenship I think it would be best to do a degree in Sociology and then to go a postgraduate PGCE course to become a qualified teacher. Sociology enables us to understand the structure and dynamics of society, and their intricate connections to patterns of human behavior and individual life changes. It examines the ways in which the forms of social structure — groups, organizations, communities, social categories (such as class, sex, age, or race), and various social institutions (such as kinship, economic, political, or religious) affect human attitudes, actions, and opportunities. Therefore I think a degree in sociology would be more beneficial to you as oppossed to doing a typical teaching degree where you do subjects like maths or science etc.
