Where in Europe is the weather usually at least 75 degrees Fahrenheit (~24 Celsius) during May?
I would recommend the region between Alicante and Almeria on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. Already in the 1930s, airmen flying the French AƩropostale from Paris to Marseilles to Dakar and over to South America, knew that if lost somewhere over the Mediterranean, the best bet was to fly toward the Alicante region where the weather was clear most of the year. And so did my father when he flew from Belgian to the Belgian Congo during the 1950s. The region is subject to a micro-climate due to the surrounding mountains. The only time it rains is when a low pressure moves in from the Bay of Biscay, follow the Pyrenean mountains and move over the Baleares islands. Then a cold and wet north-easterly blows on the coast. After my father retired, my parents went to live there, where I also lived five years. This is the best climate you will experience in Europe, if you exclude the Spanish Canary Islands, of course.
