The festival, sponsored by the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association, is scheduled to start at 11 a.m., according to organizers. It kicks off with music and other entertainment on the Harris Stage and family activities in Pioneer Court, just north of the Chicago River east of Michigan Avenue. Activities culminate with a parade that steps off from Oak Street on Michigan Avenue at 5:30 p.m. and fireworks at 6:55 p.m. over the Chicago River at Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive, according to a press release from the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association. Festival of Lights Chicago, The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival offers a full day worth of gifts, including concerts, photos with Santa Claus, an end of fireworks, and gifts. 11-5 at the Festival of Lights Lane (Pioneer Court, 401 N. Michigan), guests are free to decorate holiday cookies at the booth at Whole Foods, fancify a piece of cheesecake free at the booth of Eli’s Cheesecake (bring a donation for the Greater Chicago Food Depository to receive an additional free piece of cheesecake), and take the free Clementines Clementines cabin Cuties.
