Where (in Calgary) can I buy a huge quantity of craft feathers without spending tonnes of money?
There are only very few craft stores left up here, since Michael’s arrived and closed all the good stores. But the big question is finding cheap ones. That is going to be really difficult. What you will need to find is someone that is going to throw out a bunch of feathers. That will take some work. Check out Value Village and other second-hand shops. It’s not guaranteed, but you may just find some that way, at a reasonable price. You may not get them all in the same colour, if that is important to you. You may also post a notice on Craigslist or kijiji or Freecylce as well. Ask the costuming department at the university or various theatres in town for some leads. Good luck!
