Where have all the wall studs gone?

In all construction framing, in the history of time, there will always be wood in all of corners of a room. So you’re always going to have a piece of wood on one side of a corner and a piece of wood on another. So go to corner and measure out 16 inches. Most framing is done 16 inches from the center, meaning that the studs in the wall are 16 inches apart. Take a 3 inch nail and hammer once you’ve made a mark at 16 inches from corner. Gently, tap nail through wall, you’re going to find out if there’s wood there or not. So you may have to go every 1 ½ inch in each direction from that position to locate wood in the wall. The way you’ll know it’s in there is that the nail won’t go in all the way, that’s when you know you’ve hit wood. Once you’ve established the first stud, you’ll have about 5-7 holes in wall, you can easily go back and patch those with spackle and paint over that. That is the sure way to find a stud. That’s the starting point. From the point, wherever you first your first
