Where has the Windows Vista File Types in the Folder Options window gone?
In Windows XP, opening Windows Explorer (right-click Start => Explore), clicking Tools => Folder Options gives access to the File Types tab.In Windows Vista it is Start => Control Panel => Programs. Under Default Programs, click on Make a file type always open in a specific program. In Classic View, click the Default Programs icon , then Associate a file type or protocol with a program. A window opens that looks like the File Types tab in the Folder Options window in Windows XP. You can browse file types and protocols to change the default program that opens them.
