Where has the most veracious ranking of the all worlds universities?
There really is no good ranking. USnews is the walmart of college rankings, the princeton review has lost their minds, and all other rankings I’ve seen have been pretty inadequate. What’s best to take from the rankings is here are the schools generally considered the uppermost tier: Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT Schools like Michigan, Georgetown, Brown, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, CIT, UC Berkeley, etc are all not far behind, but those 7 are the ones that consistently come out on top. It also depends on what you’re looking for. For instance Princeton probably has the best overall undergraduate offerings, but it isn’t in the top ten for graduate degrees, while Berkeley is one of the 5 best schools for PhDs but not top ten for undergrads. It obviously also varies a lot from program to program, for instance if you want to go into journalism you might be better off looking at Northwestern. As such, college rankings aren’t as important as the general prestige level
