This passage is about sacrifice and how the blood of the sacrifices should not be desecrated by being consumed or drunk when something is sacrificed. Jesus saved lives with His miracles, and I believe that if He lived in our time, He would have not hesitated to save a life through a blood tranfusion. He healed people with His miracles to show that He and God the Father were one, and that He had power to heal the bodies and save the souls of men. He also healed because those people which He healed would not or could not be healed any other way, whether it was due to lack of money or doctors or lack of medicine or technology, or anything else. Jehovah’s witness/watchtower have no scriptural basis for this belief, and they are forced to make this passage fit their agenda of imposing ludicrous rituals just to make a statement, as all cults do.
