On ’83-’95 Ford and Chrysler vehicles, the Scanner plugs into the connector located under the hood in the engine compartment. It will be found along the firewall, or one of the front fenders. On GM vehicles, and all OBD-II vehicles, the connector is found under the dashboard-generally on the driver’s side. It can be hidden behind access panels, tucked behind ashtrays and plastic cowlings, but is generally easy to find. Check out our Connector Locator Database to help you in your search.
