Where does the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Diligence go when it is not docked in Wilmington?
Ensign Michael Persun, public information officer with the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Diligence had all the answers. He said the ship can cruise anywhere along the Atlantic coast. But usually, it patrols from North Carolina down to the Gulf of Mexico. When it’s in the North Carolina/South Carolina/Georgia region, most of its missions involve fisheries enforcement and search and rescue operations.
