Where does the time and date information on the IHD come from, and how accurate is it?

The time on the IHD is received from the smart electricity meter. The time gets checked and adjusted if needed when the meter data is remotely collected which usually happens daily. The meter always maintains the time in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).
