It is native to the Tibetan plateau including China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, Qinghai province, and Xinjiang province; India near Ladakh and formerly western Nepal. Tibetan antelope primarily inhabit the Tibet Autonomous Region, Qinghai Province, and Xinjiang Autonomous Region of China.
