Where Does the “Strivers” in the “Strivers Foundation” Come From?
Strivers Row was an area of Harlem in New York City that accommodated a group of successful African Americans in the early 20th century. These ambitious people worked their way up the economic ladder of the post-industrial United States through a combination of hard work, perseverance, and practical education. The Strivers, as they were known, embodied the idea that with talent and opportunity any group of disadvantaged people can achieve their goals.
