Where does the salt come from and why is it different from other salts?
It comes from Northern Chile at the foot of the Andes Mountains. It was formed over 11 million years ago, when the Mountains rose out over the sea, formed a pocket of ocean water, which was surround by the mountains and formed a great salt lake. The lake was naturally dried by the wind, sun, and atmosphere, and is free from any modern day pollutants making it one of the purest places on earth, and one of the largest salt deposits in the world.
