Where does the Reporter get the session date, some of my job logs are missing dates but have them in the Reporter?
If a session is being recorded and there is no session date available, the job logs file creation date will be used. Also, if a session date is older than the job log’s file creation date, as in the case of Scan jobs, the job log’s file creation date will also be used. In some cases, the agent will use the activity log time stamp if it is available. Why do some of my job descriptions show as “Description not found”? Most likely this is because the Activity Log has not been referenced properly in your Settings. Please see “Does ArcLog Distiller Enterprise use the BrightStor Activity Log?” above. Where does the Reporter get the hostname for a job? Whenever there is no workstation associated with a session ALDE uses the hostname (BACKUP_SERVER_NAME) to distinguish those activities as being related to the backup server. In Jobs by Workstation views, data is grouped by workstation and sorted in hostname order, by default, forcing these sessions close to the top of the view list.
