Where does the quote “All will be well, all will be well, and all manner of things will be well” come from?
Peter Straub writes… The origin of the quotation is a fifteenth-century English mystic named Julian of Norwich, a woman, sometimes called Juliana. In her book *Revelations of Divine Love,* she wrote, “All shall be well, all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.” I came across this uplifting sentiment in a Muriel Spark novel, I wish I could remember which one but I can’t, shortly before King and I started writing The Talisman, and I put it into our book.
