Where does the music for JamBase Rhapsody come from?
All of the music released on Rhapsody is submitted by the bands themselves (or their record labels). All of these bands own the rights to their live recordings, and every one of them has a signed contract with us to help them distribute these recordings in a new format. Neither JamBase nor Real Networks procured any of the live recordings from any source other than the bands themselves, which in almost every instance used soundboard tapes. Each of the bands is compensated every time a JamBase Rhapsody subscriber streams, burns, or downloads one of its sound recordings. .
