Where does the money from AHOPE Store sales go?
Transparency is very important to us! This store is independently run and is a separate entity from AHOPE for Children. At least 80% of the profits from each purchase is always donated to AHOPE for Children. For web sales, we specifically define “profits” as what is left after our cost of the complete product, the transaction fees, and sales tax have been deducted. The remaining 20% of the profits help offset the store’s other expenses that are harder to break down as a “cost per item” – such as insurance, web maintenance fees, promotion, and professional services (product photography, legal services, and accounting).
