For this first edition, all of the material originated with the editor. It is hoped that users of the document will begin to submit additional questions, and answers if possible. Elaboration on existing answers is also sought. Please do not submit copyrighted material unless you are the copyright owner and you are also giving permission for its inclusion. All over the place. Some is from materials I own. Since the Berlin Wall came down in 1989, for example, I have bought a variety of East German propaganda materials. Interesting Nazi items sometimes show up from used book dealers. Interlibrary loan is also a wonderful thing.

There are a number of sources, including academic journals, labour market websites and research from key organisations in Scotland and the wider UK. The available material includes unpublished reports (‘grey literature’), government policy and up-to-date academic research. Over 100 websites and around 120 journals are regularly reviewed for suitable content. All Futureskills Scotland reports are included as a matter of course.

Various sources. A lot comes from the internet ie other websites. We do this in order to preserve the material in case a website closes or disappears – we try to acknowledge sources where possible. Other material is supplied by authors and book references etc.
