Where does the Maryland Food Bank get funding?
Member providers that receive Maryland Food Bank product contribute approximately 40% of our operating revenues through the shared maintenance fee. We raise the remaining 60% of our support from direct mail contributions, foundations, corporate contributions, individual contributions, Harvest for the Hungry, point-of-sales campaigns in grocery stores (e.g. Check Out Hunger), federated campaign contributions, special events, and other contributions. One hundred percent of our Board of Directors contributes annually to the Maryland Food Bank.
