Where does the Connecticut River begin?
Looking uphill at the several signs, notice one that reads TNC (the Nature Conservancy). Follow this trail uphill, which has a steady elevation gain. This trail is 1.2 miles long, takes 30-40 minutes, crosses in & out of Canada several times and has clear border markings. When you reach the 4th Connecticut Lake there is an optional .5 loop trail around it.
