Where Does the Bible Teach about what God joins let no man put asunder?
Jesus gave this answer to the religious leaders {they were also lawyers like Paul before he was converted} when they quizzed him on how Moses allowed for divorce. This teaching of Jesus was recorded by the Apostle Matthew in Matthew 19:6 and by Mark in Mark 10:9, “Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate”. {This is the rendring of the New King James Version which with different words means the same.} Just like today, the leaders had develolped many reasons and justifications for divorce other than the single cause of fornication allowed by Jesus. {Matthew 19:9 and Matthew 5:32}. They used the law of Moses, that is the first 5 books of the Bible, to justify themselves. However, Jesus corrected them and clarified the original intention of God in the writing of Deuteronomy and all other books of the Bible.
