Where does the band perform on game day?
The Notre Dame Marching Band is the oldest collegiate marching band in the country. They are almost a big of tradition as the game itself. The band starts off with its concert 1 1/2 hours before game time on the steps of the the Bond Architecture building. The band then marches to the stadium with 45 minutes till game time. Throngs of people line the route and follow the follow the band’s march, led by the Irish Guard and cheerleaders to the stadium, a nd then go inside to watch the band run on to the field and perform the pregame. This is definitely one of the can’t miss things if you’ve never been to a Notre Dame game. It is recommended that you get there early so you can see the show .
