Where does “Shamanic” Kahuna Lomi Lomi come from?
With deep respect and gratitude I thank Kahu Abraham Kawaii and Mamuadevi for giving us the blessing of the Kahuna bodywork. In ancient Hawaii, each Ohana (family) had their particular style of Lomi Lomi. My Ohana, (family), Kahu Mamuadevi, added Her rich personality and profound understanding to the Kahuna Lomi Lomi and when it was close to the time to make her transition, she passed this form on to me to carry on. My contributions to my Ohana style is the Shamanic exercises offered in an attempt to quickly, safely and efficiently bring the participant to a deeper understanding. Thus, the word Shamanic has been added to Kahuna Lomi Lomi. Kahu Abraham stepped out of this existence into the next in 2004. Mamuadevi stepped out of her existence in 2006, but their work continues.
