Where does reuse water come from?
Gwinnett County is fortunate to be one of the few places in the country, and even the world, with a technologically advanced, state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant. Water at the F. Wayne Hill Water Resource Center (WRC) goes through a rigorous 11-step process that returns it to an almost pristine state before sending it through a 20-mile pipeline to a discharge point in the Chattahoochee River. It must also meet stringent state permit requirements, which it has consistently surpassed. Reuse water will be siphoned off from this pipeline.
