Where does Norton antivirus software reside in a computer?
Norton software is usually installed in the Program Files directory on the C drive. It may be found in more than one e.g. Norton 360, NortonInstaller and also Symantec. It is probably not enough to simply uninstall a Norton product using Add/Remove programs in the Windows Control Panel and/or deleting registry entries. A special file can be downloaded from the Norton support site and run to fully remove all files. This may be necessary if replacing Norton with another anti-virus brand name.
