Where does my milstrip file go after I create it?

Unless you specify elsewhere, the milstrip files (both the .log and the .txt) for the CD-ROM DLA Map Catalogs are saved in the …/DLA _Map_Catalog/Milstrips folder. The .log file is a file for you to reference and contains all of the ordering information in it, but not in the correct Milstrip format. The .txt file (the smaller in size of the two) is in the correct 80-column format for uploading to WebReq or DOD EMALL. You are limited as to where the milstrip files can be saved. If you create it and are unable to locate it, use the “find” options available with your operating system to locate the files. For the online DLA Map Catalogs, users are prompted to rename and save the .txt file in an alternate location on their computer or it will be lost once the Save File window is closed.
