Where does it teach in the bible that Jesus is michael the archangel?
The bible categorically DOES NOT teach that Jesus is the archangel Michael. Jesus = Creator, angels (including Michael) = created. God the Father, through the pre-incarnate Jesus, God’s Word made flesh, created everything. Several have quoted 1 Thess 4:16. However, that verse does NOT state that it is Jesus who is the one doing the shouting or proclaiming. Trying to connect the voice of the archangel as belonging to Jesus and thus equating Jesus with Michael is an error. Jesus, in His descent will be accompanied with a great shout, the voice of the archangel, and the trumpet of God. Jesus very clearly claimed to be God when He declared that He is “I Am”. A claim, by the way, which His Jewish audience saw as blasphemy and attempted to kill Him for. Jesus also accepted Thomas’ worship, which would have been blasphemous if He were not God.
