Where does HA come from?
Currently there are two forms of HA on the market: one form is made from rooster combs and the other form is produced by plant fermentation. The plant derived HA can yield higher molecular weight HA than the animal derived HA. The weight of the molecule directly influences its moisture-binding capability. Thus, it is important to use HA with high molecular weight to maximize efficacy. There are many US based companies that sell HA that is produced from worldwide sources, including China and other Asian countries and some European countries. At Nano Organic Living, we only use the plant derived high molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid that is produced in the United States and Europe.
