Where does Fermentation Occur?
Fermentation occurs at the molecular level. Most common is alcohol and lactic acid. . Alcohol fermentation is what makes bread rise and give it that yummy smell while its cooking. It’s also used to make beer and wine. It makes them bubbly. Our muscles sometimes creates lactic acid. If blood and oxygen can’t get to the muscles fast enough they create lactic acid. That’s why after a hard work out you may wake up sore the next day. The muscles can’t use it and they have to wait for your body to wash it away.
