Where does Eversfield Organic Meat come from?
All our meat comes from our own livestock here on the farm – with the exception of poultry which is sourced from Devon based organic poultry farms. Our cattle, pigs and sheep are born here following a natural breeding cycle to ensure our animals produce strong, healthy young. They live outdoors through the seasons eating a natural mix of wild herbs and grasses which grow year round on our lush, mineral rich pastures. Our cows are brought inside during winter, but the sheep and pigs stay outside with the use of shelters. We do supplement their diet with organic feed if needed. Our animals are slaughtered nearby then returned to us as carcases for our butchers to hang and prepare the meat to order.
