Where does DNA replication take place?
DNA has a “Semi-Conservative” nature in replication, meaning genetic info is carried on through reach new replication cycle of DNA in every cell (prior to cell division in the stage known as “Interphase”). Replication itself, it important so that new cells can be made to replace damaged and lost cells (i.e: We lose cells every day through scratching ourselves, rubbing against anything etc). DNA is found in each cell (in the nucleolus), as it carries all of our genetic information necessary for protein synthesis, the next replication cycle and of course for “meiosis” – so therefore DNA replication is important in order to carry on the existence of a living organism.
