Where does CAX reside along the data path?
As in the example from the previous question, CAX can reside on the Client Side Perimeter/Gateway Server or on the Client Side Router. In both cases, all client PCs are able to benefit from optimized CIFS performance. More generally, CAX can reside on any client side entity. However in its current release, CAX is not yet supported directly on Client PCs. This use case is being investigated for future releases, but is more limited in that only the Client PC will benefit from the accelerated CIFS performance.
