Where does basketball rank in order of importance?
I love sports so it ranks pretty high. But it definitely comes below academics. Q: Along with basketball you also play volleyball and soccer. Why play all of those sports instead of focusing on just one? A: It’s just one of those things. My older sister did it, and like a lot of younger sisters, I wanted to follow in my sister’s footsteps. It keeps me busy and I enjoy it. Q: Earlier in the season you had 10 steals against Patrick Henry and your team had 38 on the night. What was that game like for you? A: That was a crazy game. We thought we were evenly matched going in but Patrick Henry came out really aggressive and we got flustered. After halftime we set our minds to it, hustled and won. Q: Have you been a private school kid your whole life? A: All except for two years. My kindergarten and first grade year, I was at Lady’s Island Elementary. Other than that I’ve been at BA. Q: I’m sure you hear all the talk of how inferior SCISAA athletics is to athletic programs at public schools.
