Where does AASK’s funding come from?
As a state-licensed foster care and adoption agency, Adopt A Special Kid receives some government funding for both foster care and adoption services. However, these reimbursements are meager compared to the actual cost of our programs. In 2007, the cost of a single adoption was over $22,000. In order to continue offering services to all our families at no cost, AASK relies on support from foundations, local business and individual donors in our community.
