Where do you place water bottle holder on a y frame mountain bike?
Do you have a Trek Y frame MTB? There should be little screw mounts on the frame called ‘bosses’ They are spaced so that a standard water bottle cage should be able to bolt onto them. I’m not sure if the Trek Y frame has these, I thought so but I haven’t seen one in a while so I could be wrong. If there are none on the frame, you can get a water bottle holder that mounts to the seat post. The only problem is that you have to reach behind you to grab the bottle and putting it back can be difficult if you’re moving. The hydration packs are a good suggestion, but expensive, and kind of a pain in the *ss for a casual rider.
