Where do you find painting and art ideas?
Art is all about inspiration. Different people find inspiration in different things. For me, I am inspired by nature, and I take walks, or visit a public garden in order to get inspired.
If you are a painter, you might look up famous artists to learn more about different styles, or look at photographs of your favorite subject. Learning how you see, how you observe and what works for you are all important parts of being an artist. All that stuff happens naturally during life, but applying a little effort in developing your sense of perception can really go a long way for an artist.
Have you ever noticed a pattern of shadows, or the texture of some moss, or tree bark? Things like that may not ever become part of your art, but tuning into things like that can only give you a greater depth of experience to use in your work.
