Where do web search results come from? Is Conduit responsible for the search results?

• The web search results are provided by Conduit’s search partner and Conduit has little to do with the results or with the sponsored links that are served within the search page. The built-in web search in your toolbar is powered by Google. Since different servers are used to answer search queries from different sources, search results may sometimes be slightly (just slightly) different than those on Google.com (or some of the local versions like google.se) – the reason for that is the time it takes the different servers to sync and the source of each search. For example: you can get similar results if you use powered by Google searches that are offered by other Google search partners like MySpace, AOL, and others. In most cases and for most of the popular search terms the differences are negligible and they are usually resolved within days (once all servers are synced).
