Don’t know about kittens. Piglets come from a pig farm. A company like Carolina Biological Supply makes a contract with a farmer for a certain number of piglets. Then the piglets are embalmed in buffer formalin. When I took college zoology courses requiring dissection we used dogs and sharks.
