If you can’t handle cutting something that is dead, you probably aren’t going to be able to cut something that is alive. My husband teaches high school science. He tells them that if they cannot handle it, then they need to get over it and join the real world. People these days are so disjointed with how we get food on the table. Yes, animals need to be treated with respect, but they don’t necessarily need the rights that you and I have. I’m sorry, but the rights and welfare of my son supercedes that of a frog. And if somebody learns something from dissecting a frog that may someday help my son, then I’m all for it. I’m also all for donating bodies to science.
