Where do Theoretical Biologists Work?
Most theoretical biologists work as professors in universities in all major faculties (Table at end). There is no single best way to prepare to become a theoretical biologist. For the professions, a degree that matches that of one’s colleagues means a comparable salary and advancement prospects and a better chance you’ll be listened to. There is a shortage of professors predicted for the near future and an “explosion” of activity at the research level in theoretical biology, so if you prepare now, in high school and college, you will be ready to take advantage of it.
