Where do the proceeds go exactly?
Scott Rondeau: Your $15 registration fee goes towards all the operating costs associated with the organization of this event such as advertising, administration, website maintenance and entertainment costs, and also covers your admission to the third leg of the race and your first beverage of the night. Now the pledges you raise are collected directly at the event by CF volunteers. (They will track you down if you forget and issue charitable receipts for $ amounts over $10). From there it is presented to the CCFF’s Ottawa Chapter on our behalf. Some of the money is used to support the local chapter and its efforts to raise more money, but most goes directly to research for discovering new medicines and finding a cure. (I hear they are making great progress lately so every $ counts now more than ever.
