The Morris County Park Police are responsible for patrolling all Morris County Park Commission lands and properties which consist of 38 facilities and 150 miles of trails totaling over 18,000 acres; the largest county park system in New Jersey. These include general purpose parks, four golf courses, two arboreta, lakes, campgrounds, greenways and the Mennen Sports Arena. The park police also assist the Rockaway Twp. Police in patrolling the parking lots and outlying areas of the Rockaway Townsquare Mall and often assist other police agencies. The department is also responsible for patrolling the Morris County Municipal Utilities property in Randolph Twp. and Roxbury Twp. This property is closed to the public and is posted NO TRESPASSING. In addition to routine traffic enforcement, radar details are also carried out on some public roads and highways in Jefferson Twp., Washington Twp, Mendham Twp., Morris Twp. and Chatham Twp.
