Where do the ideas for costumes, robots and weapons come from?
Bandai Inc. is the predominant toy manufacturer and designer for tokusatsu and anime after 1980 and is thus the source for designs on hero costumes, robots and weapons. Monsters-of-the-day and other villain costumes are designed by the named costume designer of the series. Other companies licensed to manufacture toys for these programs include Takara, Capcom and Sega.
